The SOAR Program
Our program allows students to access their courses from the comfort of their own home.  Because our courses are 100% online, the program offers the flexibility that a traditional classroom cannot offer.  So how does it work?

Watch the demonstration below to learn a little bit more about the SOAR program.

Everything is Online
Our program works just like a traditional high school, except everything is online. Students can log-in and access their courses from home, the public library, or anywhere there is a computer and Internet access. Full-time students enrolled in the the SOAR program take all of their courses online. Part-time is also available and the program is completely free for all students. Courses are chosen and approved for the student by district staff based upon the student’s prior transcript. All of our courses are set up on a 120 calendar day schedule, similar to a typical semester. However, students have the ability to move through the course at their own pace.

Teacher-Supported Learning
Students can receive individualized attention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our support staff including certified teachers 5am-7pm (AK) weekdays. Teachers communicate with the students through phone, email, and instant messaging. A virtual whiteboard is even available for those students who need additional assistance.
